Ramstein-Miesenbach as a Business Community
Quality craftsmanship, trade and commerce have a long history in Ramstein-Miesenbach. As in the past, the City puts great value on a friendly business and investment climate and is always open for new ideas and innovation.
Since the 1970s Ramstein-Miesenbach has developed into an important business and shopping center in Kaiserslautern County. The City is a focus point for regional business promotion.
Ramstein-Miesenbach provides excellent growth opportunities for tradional artisan companies as well as young entrepreneurs.
The City is presently developing a new commercial area, the Business Park "Am Wasserturm", which consists of approx. 8 hectares of land, five of which are owned by the City. In the recently developed "Industriezentrum Westrich" there are currently 65 hectares still available for commercial use.
The greater Western Palatinate area consists of approx. 550,000 people, among them an above-average number of highly skilled workers and technical university graduates. The universities of Kaiserslautern (approx. 15 km) and Saarbruecken (approx. 50 km) are accessible within minutes due to Ramstein-Miesenbach's convenient location on the A-6 highway.
According to current guidelines for improving the economic structure (GA-promotion) subsidies of up to 18% may be granted. Depending on the type and special needs of the business, additional financial assistance may be available.
